The Interactive Impact of Straw Mulch and Biochar Application Positively Enhanced the Growth Indexes of Maize (Zea mays L.) Crop

A two-year experiment was carried out at Shenyang Agricultural University’s research field area in China to evaluate the impact of combined application straw mulch (0 and 8 t ha−1) biochar (0, 4, 12, 36 on morphological traits grain development rainfed maize during 2018 2019. The results showed that different rates significantly impacted growth index. Compared non-biochar-treated soils, introduction improved plant height, stem diameter, leaf index (LAI), leaves, stem, root, crop rate (CGR), dry weight crop. highest LAI, root rate, CGR, were reported when soil treated with a higher (36 ha−1). Biochar increased filling while decreasing duration crops. Our indicate biochar-based management strategies can improve environmental benefits global warming mitigation. However, due wide range properties, interactions between should be given special consideration cropping system.
